Shona McInnes was born in Orkney went on to study at Glasgow School of Art, specialising in stained glass design and graduating with first class
honours in 1982. Over the years she has become a leading name in the stained glass field, creating contemporary glass for churches and a range of public buildings including schools, hospitals and colleges.
Her work is widely known and some of her highly acclaimed commissions include the Dunblane Memorial Windows and the Oil Industry Chapel window in Aberdeen which received a Saltire Award for Arts in Architecture. She also designs for individual clients, and her work is a treasured focal point in many homes across the country.
